Is there any benefit to a home hub over a mini with a chromecast TV? I mean besides the always on display of the home hub. And the combined nature as opposed to a home device and a chromecast. I guess I'm trying to determine whether money would be better spent on a chromecast ultra or on the home hub. Just like for Google Home, you don’t have to mess around with Wi-Fi codes to allow your guests to cast content to your Chromecast.
That said, I think the audio on the Home Hub is pretty darn good for such a small speaker. Once completed, you’ll be able to activate streaming through these services with nothing more than your voice. Simply say “OK Google, play [insert song/station] on .” From there, Google Home will begin playback. Once you’ve linked these accounts you can control them all from your Google Home-connected devices. Any audio device can be linked, which includes the Chromecast Audio devices and Chromecast built-in speakers.

So I’m not sure why this doesn’t work when using it. It looks like HA doesn’t send it correctly to the device when I use the states parameter. Unfortunately it doesn’t work.If I use your line and edit out the states section and replace it with the token. I’m really stuck on figuring out why this does not work. Before it just got a generic name , and did not show up for me in the events. Once you've completed the steps, your camera feed should stream as normal.

Next up, was creating some Nest Hub specific dashboards. Having previously relied on IFTTT add-ons, Google introduced native compatibility to find your phone using its smart speaker. Google Home and Nest Audio speakers can make your phone ring when you’ve left it under a cushion or in the other room, even when it’s on silent. All you have to do to get the job done is say, “OK Google, Find/Ring my phone”.
Another added feature is the ability to act like a Chromecast Audio and do multi-room audio. If you’re a Plex user, install the Plex Media Server on your PC or wherever you keep the bulk of your video library, and you’ll be able to cast your library using your phone. If you’re not a fan of Plex, Emby and Jellyfin offer familiar features for a local media server. AllCast and LocalCast open up similar functionality for media on your phone, DLNA/UPnP media servers, and even files saved on cloud storage platforms Dropbox and Drive. You don’t have to be limited to YouTube and other video apps.
Google’s Chromecast is all about internet streaming, so beaming local content to your TV has been left as a bit of an afterthought.
